Stripers
The Fishing doesn’t get much better on Lake Lanier right now. There are Stripers holding on points North, Mid lake, and South. Its hard to find fish this time of year but when you do get your game face on these Stripers are biting. Flat lines with herring, and 7 inch redfins are producing big Stripers. Presentaion is key with the Redfin, a slow steady retrieve catches fish. Look for the down line bite to pick up and the fish becoming more visable on your Lowrance with the coming couple of weeks. There are a couple of dates open next week 678-634-3408.

Spotted Bass
Spotted bass can be found any where on the lake. Some of these fish are suspended in the middle of the river channelfeeding, while some are right against the bank pushing shad on sandy beaches. Look for scattering shad, swirls, and boils on the surface. Red fins, jerk baits, and swim baits are producing good numbers of bass. It’s post spawn and these fish are hungry. See you on the water.

Lake Allatoona
The Striper and Hybrid fishing is off the charts good right now. We boated huge numbers of fish all week. Everyday offers a nice assortment of Hybrids, Stripers, and White bass. These fish are tightly schooled and can be found consistently on your Lowrance 20-40 feet below the boat. Double hook ups are very common this time of year. Downlines and trolling umbrella rigs continue to be the most effective methods for catching these fish. Fish mid-lake. Call me if your interested in a Lake Allatoona trip 678 634 3408.

The Striper and Hybrid fishing doesn’t get much better on Allatoona. We have been landing huge hybrids and Stripers Mid-Lake. Look for surface activity and the fish will be close by. I still have an open trip this weekend and acouple trips open next week don’t miss out on this top water action. Fishing will only improve with the coming summer months. See you on the water.

Lake Lanier
The Stripers continue to be scattered out, mainly out side the creek channels, smashed right up against the bank hammering thread fin shad. This is the recipe for some really exciting top water action. The bite is finally starting to pick up. We have been boating many Stripers 6-8 pounds, on flatlines, and top water plugs. Slow rolling swim baits has produced some really big spotted bass this week. It’s the best time of year to catch good numbers of Stripers on Lanier and my favorate summer time hotspot. Call me if your interested in booking a trip. I have acouple of dates open next week.
Lake Allatoona
The action has slowed down a little bit but we have still been having great luck mid-lake. We have been catching a good number of Hybrids 2-8 pounds flat lining shad, and shinners right in the middle of the channel. Surface activity is the best guiding light to whether or not there are fish in the area. It’s really tough to mark these fish on your Lowrance when they are so shallow. Also, try a shad imitation plastic jig around these shallow schools of hybrids and hold on. Or a small spook. Allatoona is a great place to escape for a few hours and a great place for kids as it offers fast action. See you on the water.
