Lake Lanier Striper Fishing
Posted by scottc on September 12th, 2011Fishing on Lanier has been great on some days and slower on other days. We have been catching most of our Stripers on down lines. When we haven’t been able to find fish in deeper water they have been up shallower around points and humps in 50-70 feet of water. It has been hard to put together a consistent pattern; however, it seems as though the fish are where you mark them. Some days they are over the channel other days they are closer to timber on the points.
Spotted bass fishing is great and has saved many of our trips. Look for the spots to be in 20-30 feet of water around brush piles. They are hitting spooks, deep diving crank baits and live bait. We still have a couple of open dates in September. See you on the water.
