Striper fishing on Lanier is good. Stripers can be found in the main channel from Chestatte bay and south. Deep points and humps are good areas to try. On some days Stripers and spots can be seen rolling and chasing bait in the middle of the channel, this always makes the search easier. This week we have caught some really big fish. We have been getting most of our bites on flat lines. Getting the bait far behind the boat really increases bites. We also been getting a few bites throwing top-water. Jerk baits, red fins, flukes, spooks, and chugers are good baits to throw around points.

Double Hook-up

The Striper and Hybrid bite on Allatoona is great. Fish can be found Mid-Lake and south in Allatoona Creek. The best bait for us has been a thread fin on a flat line. Surface activity is key to finding the fish. At about 10 it is best to switch to down lines and focus on points. It’s a great time of year to be on the water. We still have a couple of open dates in April. See you on the water.

Spring time is right around the corner. Stripers are starting to move back up into the creeks. It’s the time of year to fish shallow and put out the plainer boards. We are already starting to catch some of these bigger stripers up in the backs of some creeks. They are in the shallows trying to spawn. The key to success this time of year is to fish big baits. Gizzards, and trout are the most productive. We have also had luck casting 4 inch flukes on a jig heads to the banks. Fishing is good and is only going to pick up into March. We still have a couple of open dates in March. Give me a call at 678-634-3408 and lets go fishing. See you on the water.

Fishing on Lanier has been great on some days and slower on other days. We have been catching most of our Stripers on down lines. When we haven’t been able to find fish in deeper water they have been up shallower around points and humps in 50-70 feet of water. It has been hard to put together a consistent pattern; however, it seems as though the fish are where you mark them. Some days they are over the channel other days they are closer to timber on the points.

Spotted bass fishing is great and has saved many of our trips. Look for the spots to be in 20-30 feet of water around brush piles. They are hitting spooks, deep diving crank baits and live bait. We still have a couple of open dates in September. See you on the water.

In the mornings we have been catching some nice Spotted bass and a occasional Striper on red fins, magic swimmers, and jerk baits. Down-lines fished close to timber are producing most of our bites. The Stripers have been finicky at times. Power reeling and the rip and pump techniques have been working to activate the fish. Action on the lake is picking up, and the fish should move into their summer time pattern soon. Main Lake points, humps, and coves are the best places to look for fish. North-end to Mid-lake are the best places to find fish. We still have a couple of open dates in June. See you on the water.

Fishing on Allatoona is good. Stripers have been playing hide and seek in the morning. They are high in the water column relating to points, humps, and submerged structure. When you find the fish hold on because they are biting. We have been catching Hybrids, Stripers, and Spotted Bass throwing small jerk-baits, and casting small plastics to schooling fish and doing well. The fish are where the bait is. Flat-lines and down-lines fished 20 feet below the boat as the sun gets high have also been productive. We have been catching some bigger fish this week. There are a lot of fish up the river, there are a few fish mid-lake, and there are some fish down south. We still have a couple of open dates in May. Call 678-634-3408 for rates and availability or e-mail me at gettinluckyfishing@yahoo.com. See you on the water.

Fishing on Allatoona has been great every morning. We are catching a mixed bag of Hybrids, Stripers, white bass, and spotted bass. The best bite has been on Flat lines every morning, once the sun gets high switch to down lines as the fish have been dropping deeper in the water column. We have also been doing well casting jigs and jerk baits at schooling hybrids. The best fishing is still yet to come in the next couple of weeks. Last week produced some really big Striper’s. Fishing is great Mid-Lake and is where we are spending most of our time. Crappie trips are available also available. There are a couple of open dates in April. Call 678-634-3408 or e-mail me gettinluckyfishing@yahoo.com for availability. See you on the water.
